Niseko Lake Toya Proposal Photography
Proposal Photography is something we occasionally do but don’t actively promote.
Over in our New Zealand Wedding business for example, we have refused to plan proposals since 2023 – there’s a whole lot of pressure to be handed the “responsibility” to plan the proposal.
What if the weather turns bad, what if she doesn’t like the location, what if this, what if that.
When we receive enquiries from guys who have full of confidence in their plan however, it is a different story – the focus is on the mission to get engaged, beyond anything else like the colour of the sky or the humidity and temperature. When the mission is successful, all else is a bonus.
We had some mild and calm weather for this proposal shoot over in Lake Toya, guised as a casual couple shoot.
After a couple of photos at the Chinkojima Park at Lake Toya, Bin (our guy here) couldn’t hold his confessions anymore, got down on one knee and asked the big question.
The rest of the photography session didn’t matter, and that only makes our job as photographers easier – when couples are simply enjoying the moment at a beautiful place, in each other’s company. Candid, relaxed, unforced.
For those who want to know where we went after Lake Toya, it was just Toya Town and the beachside about 8 minutes from Lake Toya.
There’s a railway crossing and a Shrine with a large red Torii gate. Easy variation of locations within a couple minutes of driving and walking.
In our 1 HR Proposal Photography Package (hidden menu!) we offer 50 digital photos but came out with about 200 to deliver.
That’s the sort of the difference confidence and comfort during a photoshoot will make.
