Dan and Jo are our friends from Auckland New Zealand who run Dear White Wedding Photography.

They’ve been married for quite some time now so this is a post – post-wedding photoshoot rather than an engagement shoot, pre-wedding shoot or whatever you’d call it.

After I left New Zealand, it’s been pretty lonely being in a different country trying to build things up from scratch.
Travelling all over Japan for wedding work is both fun and challenging, often having to travel by plane from Hokkaido to Kyoto, Tokyo and even Okinawa.

While we are based in Niseko, Otaru is close enough to get to – just an hour away by car, and during the summer months I enjoy taking my family here during the weekends.

For Dan and Jo, I simply took them to pretty places I already knew of in the Otaru area.
