Aubrey and Mart – Tokyo Kamakura Japan Elopement
Asakusa in Tokyo is a very busy place, with a whole lot of tourists, loud noises from street vendors, cars and flashy signs.
Despite this, it was impossible to miss Aubrey and Mart through the sea of *everything* – bright pink, slick and tightly fitted kimonos with extra shiny things in Aubrey’s hair, and of course their beautiful, cheerful smiles.
For their Elopement Wedding Ceremony, we took them to somewhere much quieter in Kamakura, about an hour away from the concrete jungle that is Tokyo city.
This is an Edo-period Samurai Estate, still kept up beautifully and renovated – it even comes with modern Japanese toilets inside.
Bamboos surround the property, with a couple of caves there too – Supposedly a place for Samurais to write poems, meditate or do mysterious samurai-things.
We feel very lucky when we work with Filipino couples – they have a great sense of humour, genuine and romantic vows and simply a great appreciation for the beautiful things in life.
Our Celebrant Emmanuel, was the perfect person to officiate their ceremony.
